TUG Tip - Sage 100 Contractor- Payroll

Say Hello to the new W-4!

Just in time for the New Year, and brought to you courtesy of our pals at the IRS...there is a new Form W-4 Employee's Withholding Certificate that must be used starting January 1, 2020. The redesign is supposed to make the form simpler to complete and easier for employees to accurately tell employers how much federal income tax to withhold from their paychecks. And eliminating allowances aligns with the suspension of personal exemptions, which was one of the major changes stemming from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

The Sage 100 Contractor year-end tax update (released December 18, 2019) has added features to accommodate the new form. After you install the update, be sure to read the Release Notes for more information (Home & Resources/Product Documents/Release Notes).
