Crystal Reports - Renaming a Subreport Preview Tab Caption

If you use the Desktop Overview report, that is available to those who have attended a TUG National Conference and you would like to have the open tabs include the project number that they are associated with, this tip is for you. At a recent Project Management webinar, Tom Moore showed us how to rename the Subreport Preview Tab. 

On the Design tab of the Crystal Report, right click on the desired linked subreport. Click on Format Subreport and click the Subreport tab. On the Subreport Preview Tab Caption, click on the X-2 formula editor button. In the editor put the following formula {PJM_MASTER__JOB.Job} + " Contact List" replacing the “ Contact List” with your desired text. Now when you have several tabs open, each will have the job number and your desired text.
