Tug 2022 National Conference

The safety of our community is of the utmost importance as TUG continues to plan a stress-free educational experience. TUG will be following all safety guidelines put in place by local/state officials at the time of the conference as well as policies and procedures required by the host hotel, the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC.

By registering and attending the 2022 TUG National Users Conference, you agree to abide by the health and safety requirements in place by local and hotel officials. TUG will continue to evaluate what is best for our attendees to ensure we can meet safely.

What are the current guidelines in Washington, DC with regards to COVID-19?

How is conference registration/check-in being handled at the Marriott Marquis?

The registration/check-in process will include an area where you can check in and will receive your badge, lanyard, and conference bag from a TUG staff member or volunteer. Extra face masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes will be provided.

Will I be required to wear a mask at the TUG National Users Conference?

TUG will be following any mask mandates/guidelines put in place by Washington, DC and at the Marriott Marquis in place at the time of the conference. 

Do I need to be vaccinated or provide a negative COVID test to attend the 2021 TUG National Users Conference?

How will the events events such as the Welcome Reception and TUG Party be handled?

The Welcome Reception will be held indoors in the Exhibit Hall.

The TUG Party will also be held indoors in a large ballroom. Food/drinks will be served based on health and safety regulations mandated by the District of Columbia. 

How are session rooms and seating being managed to keep health and safety in mind?

Session rooms and seating will be managed in a floorplan that aligns with current guidelines on social distancing as required by the District of Columbia. Disinfectant wipes will be provided in each session room for attendees to wipe computers, desks, etc. Hand sanitizer will also be provided. Plexiglass barriers will be provided at the speaker podium.

How are meals and beverages being served?

Food and beverage will be prepared and served based on COVID health and safety regulations mandated by the District of Columbia. Meals will be served in the Exhibit Hall. All food served hosts a label that identifies allergy items per food option so attendees can make the best choice to meet their personal dietary restrictions/preferences. Please note: the only separate, dedicated dietary restricted meal provided will be Kosher meals. Separate meals for gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc. will not be individually provided, though there will be options for those with such restrictions/preferences among the provided buffet. 

Are there testing or vaccination sites nearby?
